Attesting UK Documents for use in the UAE

The United Arab Emirates will usually require documents that have been issued in the UK to be attested before they can be used in the UAE. This is a two-step process which requires the addition of an Apostille Stamp by the Foriegn & Commonwealth Office, and then subsequent consular attestation by the UAE Embassy in London.

The most common documents that require attestation are Birth, Marriage & Death certificates, Educational Qualifications, and Company Registration documents. We can however arrange to attest any officially-issued document that may be required.

For the avoidance of doubt, attestation is sometimes referred to as legalisation.
