Copy of a Scottish Divorce Decree

From here you can order an official copy of any Scottish Decree Absolute (divorce certificate) produced.

The standard service includes a 10-year search and the certificate production - additional blocks of 10 years can be purchased optionally.

In the event that a matching record is found, you will receive a certified copy of the decree absolute. If there is no trace of a decree having been granted, you will be issued with a 'no-trace' certificate. Standard orders are typically fulfilled within 2 weeks. Priority orders are completed within 1 week.

For overseas use, please be aware that some overseas authorities will require to you to have your document 'Legalised' to prove authenticity. This is known as an Apostille and is carried out by the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. This often affects passport applications, social security applications and property purchases so you are advised to check before you order. We are happy to provide the Apostille service to you order, however please note that this adds between 1 day and 2 weeks to the order process depending upon the chosen option. The Apostille service charges start from £59.00 per certificate.
