Overseas UK Death Certificate

From here you can easily order an official Overseas UK Death Certificate. We can supply any certificate generated between 1837 and 2006. Deaths are those recorded in the Offical Overseas Deaths Records, Consular Deaths Records, High Commission Death Registry and British Army Overseas Records (BAOR). You should however bear in mind that there is no obligation for the death to be recorded with the UK authorities as well as the in-country authorities. This may result in the record only being available from the overseas authority.

We offer two speeds of certificate production:

  • Standard (8-10 working days)
  • Priority (3 working days)

Please note: The stated duration is quoted as typical lead times, and is in addition to the delivery time taken (which depends on the delivery service chosen).

Scan and Send Option
As an optional service, you can also have your order professionally scanned and emailed (Scan and Send) if you need the information as soon as we have it. This service is available for only an additional £2.50 per certificate.

Legalisation Option
For our overseas clients, please be aware that some overseas authorities will require to you to have your document 'Legalised' to prove authenticity. This is known as an Apostille and is carried out by the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. This often affects passport applications, social security applications and property purchases so you are advised to check before you order. We are happy to provide the Apostille service to you order, however please note that this adds between 1 day and 2 weeks to the order process depending upon the chosen option. The Apostille service charges start from £59.00 per certificate.
